Q: One phase or multiple?
A: We are currently planning on one phase.
Q: Open Office or Traditional?
A: It will be a mixture of the two – prioritizing access sunlight for everyone. Check out the renderings here.
Q: Will the new Des Plaines facility have room for people that want to work there?
A: Yes - We have room for approximately 80 people in Des Plaines.
Q: I can't drive to Des Plaines. Will I lose my job?
A: No! We know we will run into different circumstances and will work with you to figure out the best way to move forward.
As we prepare for floors 3-8 to close for renovations, we are developing a plan for how to utilize our first and second floors to their full potential. We will balance those meeting areas with optional space on jobsites, in our new Des Plaines office and partial remote work. During this time, each team should be talking about what works for their needs. In addition, a Move Management Team, is being established to develop a plan and schedule to facilitate our move-out, including cleaning/purging days and temporary storage.
Q: Will restroom stall have doors?
A: Yes.
Q: Will there be an Elkay water fountain on each floor?
A: There will be a water source of some kind but we are still in DD - we don't have details yet.
Q: Can we have a hair dryer for the shower rooms?
A: Yes.
Q: Can each floor have a mini vacuum for spills?
A: Yes, Group coordinators can order these when the renovation is complete.
Q: Can we have nap pods?
A: Not at the office. Naps are for weekends retirement!
Q: Can we get a postage meter machine?
A: Because these machines are incredibly expensive to maintain and operate, and we don’t use them very often, we consolidated to one machine which is located in the Barrington office. Please contact Tom Brannon or Dave Morris and they can help you.
Q: Can we have more K-cups?
A: K-cups are now a regularly-stocked perk, pending timely delivery!
Q: Will my key fob work in Des Plaines?
A: Yes
